What is the cause of acne?
Acne is the combination of dead skin cells on the surface of your skin combined with sebum. Sebum is an oily mixture produced by the sebaceous glands attached to hair follicles near the base of your pores. Sebum normally lubricates the skin. Sometimes when the dead skin on the surface of the skin is not exfoliated and the sebum is not removed by cleansing properly, plugs form that block the pores. And acne lessions form.
